Two inseparable disciplines.
Corporate law and tax law are inseparable: “You can’t practice corporate law without knowing corporate tax. As soon as I was confronted with companies with files, I noticed that I was also confronted with their tax aspects. And this subject always appealed to me more. One led to the other and I was interested in personal income tax and then in everything related to taxes. But my experience in corporate law continues to be useful, namely when it comes to a sale of shares, the tax aspects of the transfer being far from being the only essential element when drawing up the transfer contract.

Experience is essential.
Jonathan Chazkal believes that advice-giving and procedure are closely related. “When proceedings involve the interpretation of tax law, the reasoning in making findings is very close to what happens when I write advice for a client. In addition, when the judge makes his decision, it confirms our interpretation of the law, which in turn feeds and enriches our advisory activity.”
